Hey everyone.
Girl Overload here.
Kate Moss. Supermodel, legend, and she definitely isn’t backing down anytime soon.
Kate Moss has been in demand for many years coming, especially by coveted designer brands. She has also jet-setted all over the world for countless fashion shoots and catwalk shows.
But her favourite clothes to wear? Not fresh off the rack clothing, not even garments from fashion shows that haven’t even been released yet.

Vintage clothing. Kate Moss loves vintage clothing more than a dog loves its bone. You’re probably thinking, what about the lemon-yellow dress she wore to a New York fashion week dinner in 2003, which she later decided to recreate in her Topshop collection? The answer is a vintage frock by 1950s French couturier Jean Dessès. Or the black cocktail dress with feathered off-the-shoulder hemline she donned on the red carpet at Cannes in 1998? A vintage shantung silk piece, given a classic, off-beat 90s twist with scraped back hair and simple black strappy slingback sandals. Or, what about at the Glastonbury festival in 2005, what did she wear with cut-off denim shorts and Hunter boots? The answer is a 1970s Roncelli leather jacket.
Most of her coveted pieces she has won have either been vintage or second hand. As quoted by the Guardian, secondhand to her has never been second best.
When she wants to look special, she goes vintage.

Kate Moss has also recently edited a book in collaboration with the Chilean fashion Museum titled Musings on Fashion and Style: Museo de la Moda, which talks about Kate’s Fashion Wisdom and other useful tidbits of advice.

Some advice that she has is look at a specific garment, not a brand or label. This way you have more insight into what you are wearing instead of just the fact that it says Chanel on the price tag.
Another tip that she has is look at what cuts and colours best suit you and choose clothing from there.
When a woman smiles, her dress should smile with her

A final shocking tip she has is “Head to the charity shops, you can still find brilliant pieces there if you are prepared to hunt around.”
Kate Moss, A lister, at charity shops? What a shocker! But for the sake of being diplomatic, I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and believe her.

She has even quoted to shopping at Oxfam and Portobello markets.
Yes, I love the idea that the clothes have a history and have been worn previously. Who knows what they have experienced? Also, it’s good that clothes are recycled and worn again rather than being thrown out.
